Appleton
City
is a small rural community nestled quietly on the rolling plains
spotted with Ozark woodlands. This friendly community is located in
St. Clair County Missouri on Highway 52 and is conveniently centered
between Kansas City and Springfield.
The community is composed of a mixture of farmers and livestock producers;
retired citizens; business, medical and service personnel; and young adults
raising their families in this rural atmosphere.
The main industry is agriculture. The land is fertile for crop farming and raising
livestock. Various different crops and different types of livestock thrive in this area.
Appleton City has been a stable community for many generations. This community is always
improving itself due to various community activities throughout the year.
A good school system, caring churches, numerous types of business, a caring hospital,
nursing homes, retirement apartments, four city parks, museum,
public library, lakes and strip pits for fishing
and boating, wildlife for hunting, and a strong, active community with a lot of
community pride makes this an ideal place to live.
