{RULES}
Team Play: 2 players make up a team
Each player has 3 golf ball bolas. A bola is 2 golf balls attached by a
nylon rope. The object of the game is to wrap your bolas around the rungs of the ladder. The ladder consists of 3
rungs, a top, middle and a bottom rung.
Playing the Game:
Ladder Golf is played in rounds, each round consists of all players tossing 3 bolas.
Players simply alternate turns with teammates. A coin toss is used to decide which
team will toss first. The first team must toss all 6 bolas before the next
team is able to toss their bolas.
Bolas can be tossed in anyway the player chooses, as long as they are tossed individually and can be bounced off the ground.
The winner of the round earns the first toss in the next round.
Scoring & Winning:
After both teams have tossed all their bolas, scoring is determined by the bolas that are still hanging from the
rungs. Players can
knock-off bolas during the course of the game, in fact knocking-off other players bolas is encouraged and a good way to play
defensively. bolas that are knocked off during play do not count as points. Only bolas that are left hanging after all bolas are
tossed are counted as points.
Points are determined by which rung your bola wraps around. The top rung is
worth 3 points the middle rung is worth 2 points and the bottom rung is worth 1 point.
Points cancel each other out ~ Example ~ team A gets a 3 point rung,
team B gets a 2 point rung, (score) Team A (1), Team B (0). If any team gets
one throw on each rung at any one time the game is over unless the other
team matches it. Remember you are allowed to knock the other teams throws
off if you can!
Game ends at 11 ~ You play to exactly 11! If a
team goes over the exact point total of 11 your score automatically goes
back to 5 points and game continues. Example, if you have 10 points, you can
only score 1 point on the bottom rung to WIN!
In the case of a tie, the first team to end a complete round 2 points ahead
of the other team WINS. The 2 point rule only applies in a tie situation.
